Alina Kabaeva is a Russian rhythmic gymnastics champion who recently gave birth to a boy in Moscow and named the baby Dimitry. In mid-April 2008 the Russian paper Moskovsky Korrespondent stated that she was engaged to marry the Russian President Vladimir Putin in mid-June, after he left office. She has been identified as Putin’s girlfriend ever since she retired from competition in 2006.

Alina, 5’4” and weighs 48 kg, she is Russia’s most successful rhythmic gymnast to date, and is also one of the most decorated gymnasts in the history of rhythmic gymnastics with 18 World Championship medals, 2 Olympic medals and 25 European Championship medals. Since 2007 she is State Duma deputee from the Party of United Russia. In 2008, Putin addressed the article in a press conference in which he said, ‘There is not a single word of truth’ about his affair with Alina Kabaeva.

There is double deal to celebrate for Putin as he consolidated his control over the proletariat and all their oil and gas, with that he’s also been given his first son, according to sources. A newspaper Moskovsky Korrespondent reported the rumor last year that Putin was divorcing his wife, Ludmila so he can marry Alina. A source told Page Six,

“She has confided to friends that she wants more children soon and she loves being a new mother.”

A website ReadRussia.com stated,

“The most puzzling part of this story is that at press time, not a single major Russian media [outlet] has reported that Kabaeva had a son.”

Alina is half-Muslim through her Tatar father as she was born (May 12, 1983) in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. One analyst said,

“Putin is very careful about his public image. Still, considering Russia’s Muslim population is about 30 million, it might not hurt him politically to have a beautiful, half-Muslim wife.”
