Answering the question regarding the results of the India Bar Council exam, the AIBC officials on Monday told Delhi High Court that they were making preparations to put the result book on the website of the AIBC and they had no problem regarding it. Earlier, a petition was filed in the court by Anoop Prakash Awasthi in which he requested the court to call Bar officials and ask why they were not showing the result of the Bar exam on the website. The exam for the All India Bar Council was held on March 6.
Through the exam, the graduates showed their eligibility to practice law and showed how much knowledge they had about law. Justice S. Muralidhar is hearing the petition. The bar council entered a statement in the court saying the AIBC had decided to place the statement of marks on their website in respect of those who appeared in the exam. This has happened for the very first time that the students who got their graduations in law were asked to appear in the AIBE test if they wanted to establish careers in law.
The process took much time to complete and there were lots of ups and downs before this test. Many people were against this test and they were saying that the graduation degrees of the students itself were proof that the students were eligible to practice law while many others were saying that test was necessary and it wouldn’t create difficulties for those who had already got good marks during their graduation. The reports are 71% candidates have been declared passed in the exam and rest was declared failed. A total of 6300 graduates have been declared failed in the exam and now they are not eligible to practice law unless they prove eligibility next time.
