The next year in 2003 he appeared as the winner of world cup in the sport. He got retired from the sport in March 2010 after he won gold medal in Beijing Olympics.
During the Beijing Olympics, the media sources noticed that there were many athletes who had made different beautiful tattoos on their bodies which they were proudly showing before the cameramen. Staff also showed his tattoo during the Olympics which he had made on his left lower leg. The only tattoo for the cyclist is a piston of a car.
Earlier, there were rumors that it was a bio-mechanical set of a cycle but then he cleared the situation stating it was not a bio-mechanical tattoo. He made this tattoo on his leg to show people that his legs worked like pistons.
