YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh is dead. The helicopter carrying CM YSR disappeared near Nallamalla forest yesterday, while he was on a routine trip. The helicopter carrying Andhra Pradesh CM with four other people was reportedly crashed on a mountain top which was situated between Rollapenta and Rudra Koduru in Kurnool region of Andhra Pradesh.
It has now confirmed officially that Andhra Pradesh CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy was among the five people killed in the helicopter crash. The Bell 430 chopper, in which the CM was traveling was traced on a hill of Nallamalla forest. Nallamalla forest is at distance of 40 nautical miles east of Kurnool.
To retrieve the dead bodies from the crash site, 14 Special Force Commandos were landed. The other four people killed along with Andhra Pradesh CM in the crash were his Principal Secretary S Subrahmanyam, his Chief Security Officer ASC Wesley and two pilots Group Captain S.K. Bhatia and Capt. M. S. Reddy. They were all declared dead and it was reported that all the dead bodies were in burnt state.
YS Rajasekhara Reddy was a beloved leader and after his death announcement, his supporters and people of the state were see mourning and crying bitterly. They have lost such great leader. After his death K Rosaiah, the Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister has been appointed as the caretaker CM. A holiday was declared in the states tomorrow by the Tamil Nadu and Punjab governments.
